Cruise ships know Ensenada offers more than just free beer. Sail the vessels (power and sail) to Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, and always I found lots of cheap, fun and exciting adventures – from red-hot sport fishing quiet spa treatments, drinking wine and tequila to a movie was filmed. Best part? It's all in English.

We yachts in Southern California (known as "yachtsmen" in Spanish) think of the Cove as the foreign port right next door. Each fall, nearly 1,000 yachts south, and Ensenada is the easiest place to clean up Mexico. Each spring, more than 2,000 yachts to cross the finish line in Newport Beach to Ensenada race. Surely the alley north of hurricanes, Ensenada is an ideal hole hurricane "for yachtsmen on a tight budget. And even the California tax laws change, some 500 yachts to join the newly purchased notional 90-Day Yacht Club "each year.

Cruise to Ensenada through the Coronado Islands

Ensenada, located 75 nautical miles (nm) on the coast of Point Loma in San Diego, light, or driving 60 miles south of Tijuana. Either way, it is feasible in one day.

Navigating down, pass to the Islands Coronado, owned by Mexico. You can anchor to fish, dive or relax at night, but you can go ashore at the 4-island nature preserve. The Navy patrols Mexico based on Smugglers Cove in Corona del Norte, are useful for yachtsmen. My favorite is the anchor in South Coronado.

If you drive for towing a boat, buy car insurance in Mexico at San Ysidro and take the toll road. The presence of new patrols of Tourism avoids security problems, and help the Americans in English.

Ensenada Ports

Mexico has really developed its marinas lately: Ensenada region has 1,400 sheets full catering to nautical tourists. In geographical order, are Puerto Marina La Salina and Marina Reef (both in the north of the city), Cruiseport Village Marina, Marina Baja Naval, sport fishing and Dock Sergio Bandido's (inside the port of Ensenada). Puerto Hussong marina and other construction.

Anchor Freedom

The Port Authority installed new moorings in the harbor in 2008, but if you prefer to anchor for free, check out the coves south Todos Santos Island and Punta Banda. In calm weather, small boats can anchor off the beautiful Playa Estero Beach and boat in the estuary of the birding high tide.

Jack & Jill in Ensenada

Jack gets up early to join half-day sport fishing charter boat (which is in Marina Coral, Cruiseport Village Marina and Sergio) which aims at Bajo de San Miguel or the islands of Todos Santos to the low winter or summer, dorado and marlin. If Jack owns a Sport-fishing boat, a local computer fair catch Jack and rinse the pot. In the center, Restaurante Casa del Mar will be the Jack grilled fish for lunch.

Meanwhile, Jill goes to the spa (Marina Coral) for a menu of hot mineral soaks and massages – from deep tissue to fruit wraps. Invented by the Aztecs, the legendary temetzcal "occurs in Uruapan sauna Hot Springs and most hotel spas in the city. On his way to meet Jack for lunch downtown, Jill candy stores and a silver jacket fashion Josefa Mateos Blvd.

Afternoon Delights

Summer is a good time to visit Ensenada by boat, and that marinas are half empty. (They are filled in November, when thousands of U.S. cruise cruising yachts starting the season in Mexico.) Local culture flowers all summer.

In August, six indigenous tribes of Baja California, Arizona, Sonora and California, gather near Marina Baja Naval a "Kiru Kiru" or traditional gourd dance songs, music, food and native crafts. At the same time, many winemakers put in Ensenada Festival Vintage 2008, with free tours for wine tasting. LA Cetto is my favorite, but others are closer to the marinas.

Tequila Cove Festival 2008 is going until October. Example of mescal, tequila and snacks at the Riviera Cultural Center (near Cruiseport Village Marina) and see "Culture and Mezcal Agave" by Hugo D'Acosta. Gourmet kitchen features unique recipes tequila.

Playas de Rosarito

This enclave of beach has no marina, but anchored on cruise ships and shuttle people on earth – is so famous. Since the 1930s, Hollywood celebrities have been sprinkling in the venerable Stardust Hotel and Rosarito Beach Spa. In 2008, the stars are going undercover to welfare breaks, usually bring the whole family for water park, children's sand castles and shopping classes class boutique. Make reservations for the hotel.

But do not miss the movie! Remember Pearl Harbor "and" Titanic "and" Master and Commander "? How about" Deep Blue Sea "," Tomorrow Never Dies "and" In Dreams "? They were filmed at Baja Studios (originally Fox Baja Studios Hollywood). When "Titanic" was filmed on this beach, all the chimneys were so realistic that the U.S. Coast Guard received hundreds of reports that a cruise ship ran aground!

Xploration allows visitors to go behind the scenes and interact with the movie studio work. Play with animation, camera lenses, lighting techniques and makeup. The props and costumes from the costume shop is full of actual past films, present and future. For tour times, visit the website Xploration.

The next time you sail to Ensenada, not stuck on the boat.

There is no end to the awards and prizes honoring the work of Bernd and Hilla Becher. After the Golden Lion at the 1990 Venice Biennial, the 1995 Goslar Kaiserring, and the Erasmus Prize awarded to the photographers in Amsterdam in 2002, they received the prestigious Hasselblad Foundation International Award for outstanding accomplishments in photography in November 2004. On the occasion of this tribute we are enlarging our 13-volume Becher edition with another publication. During their 40-year career the Bechers kept focusing on the same subjects over and over again, creating an invaluable photographic encyclopedia of industrial structures. Basic Forms presents 61 photographs covering the entire range of Becher motifs?water towers, cooling towers, gas tanks, winding towers, blast furnaces, gravel plants, lime kilns, and grain elevators.

If you had to choose just one affordably-priced book to be representative of Arizona’s natural beauty, in all its variety and splendor, this would be it. First, there are the photographs: more than 65 of them, by the most respected professionals in the field. Arizona Highways contributors from around the state supplied full-color images that vividly display the harmony of color and form, rich textures and vast spaces of Arizona’s deserts, mountains, plateaus, grasslands and riparian niches. The immense, sculpted layers of the Grand Canyon, cool pools of water in the midst of searing desert, green "sky island" mountains thrusting upward from basin floors and monumental rock formations – all contribute to the sometimes subtle and sometimes overwhelming beauty of Arizona. Then there’s the descriptive text. Journalist and veteran outdoorsman Sam Negri draws from a deep well of experience to characterize the landscape, relating it to the state’s history and folklore. In six chapters, he explores the deep forests and sculpted plateaus of the Arizona Strip, the color and texture of Indian Country, the vast ribbon of trees and water that make up the mountains, the unexpected exotic appeal of Western Arizona, the diversity of life and forms of the Southwestern Desert and the Southeastern Desert’s land of contrast. First published in 1996 and now available in its third printing, the book’s impressive cover and the quality of its design assure that it will remain a literary ambassador welcomed by those wanting to stay in touch with this interesting corner of the world.

“The Interesting History of Income Tax William J. Federer “The only things certain are death and taxes” – Benjamin Franklin Yet few know America’s interesting history of Income Tax, such as: *1787 – U.S. Constitution prohibited a “direct” Federal tax *1862 – “Revenue Tax” on incomes went into effect to finance the Union during the Civil War *1895 – Supreme Court made Income Tax unconstitutional *Woodrow Wilson thought tariffs on imports caused wars, so he worked to replace them with an Income Tax. *1913 – Income Tax was only a 1% tax on the top 1% richest people in America. *1943 – Paycheck Withholding began as an emergency effort to get funds to finance WWII. John F. Kennedy – “Lower rates of taxation will stimulate economic activity and so raise the levels of personal and corporate income as to yield within a few years an increased flow of revenues to the Federal Government.” (Annual Budget Message, Jan. 17, 1963) Thomas Jefferson – “It is an encouragement to proceed as we have begun in substituting economy for taxation” (2nd Annual Message, 1802) (176 pages, includes pictures)”

arizona vs johnson court case

arizona vs johnson court case arizona vs johnson court case

What is the outcome of the case v. Arizona Supreme Court Johnson?

http://www.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/07-1122.ZS.html I do not understand what the outcome of this case. It is the duty police officer stopping the vehicle and find the weapon through the Frisk? All of the evidence was legally obtained? What was the punishment or was there a punishment for the person who had the gun? And what does if the supreme court case is reversed and remanded in custody?

In an opinion so free that the Supreme Court did not produce as much work, the judges on 26 unanimously in January to extend the control that the police can act upon the location of roadside traffic stops. The decision brought an expansion of "stop and search", authority. The boy was convicted and the conviction was later overturned. With less than four pages of analysis in a nine-page opinion, the Court decided that police may order a passenger in a vehicle stopped, and then conduct a "frisk" (yet another search) if they reasonably believe that the pilot may be armed and dangerous. (In this particular, it was assumed that the officer involved had a reason, but that could be tested when the case returns to court Arizona.) This means that the court reverseved the lower court decision and returned to the lower court.

Earl Warren served as Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1953 until the end of the tumultuous 1960s. In The Warren Court, learn why conservative critics still view this court as revolutionary, out-of-control, and permissively leftist, while its liberal fans still cheer what they view as the court's progressive activism that secured--once and for all--the rule of law for all Americans. As relevant today as they were nearly half a century ago, the Warren Court's decisions remain with us today: the rights accorded to the accused in Miranda vs. Arizona, the limits placed on school prayer in the court's controversial religious decisions, and the abolition of school segregation in Brown vs. Board of Education. These are just a few of the Warren Court's controversial decisions analyzed here.
