It is natural to envy the fact that your partner has a past, especially when the bleeding dry $ 500 month! Do not take this on her husband, who is legally obligated to pay child support, but if the payments are making things difficult for you financially then request payments to be reduced based on your financial circumstances. Does your husband even get to see his first child? In general I find this type of situation terribly sad because at the end of the day there is a completely innocent child involved - this is a point to remember when you feel like screaming with frustration all. Not your fault of the husband of this woman who is using the child as a means to financial gain - nor is the child's fault either. Can you imagine how painful for the child should be told that "Hey! I suggest seeking legal advice, and in the meantime, please try to understand that her husband is probably just as annoyed and frustrated as you, especially when he knows that money is not spent on the child.
